From a fan
A few months ago I ran across your mylifelynhejinian blog. I thought it was a brilliant form, if you were lyn hejinian. But you're not, so only the form is brilliant, that is, the form the blog-version give her poem, if it were an ongoing, daily account written by the author.
I recognized a few of the lines and was wondering what was going on, since Lyn had written a 1980's My Life and a 1990's My Life, perhaps this was the next decade. But it's not.
The form is becoming less brilliant as it breaks down. In the end, however, you are often choosing great lines of hers. Perhaps the better thing would be to identify the form up front, but that would loose some of the mystic and it's initial beauty.
Perhaps you should get permission from the publisher and the poet? This would make it more ethical, unless most of the work were your own, which it isn't, so it remains pretty unethical. ...
Thank you,
